Sales policy

The sales policy of La Grange Liquidation, also known as Meuble chez Pierre, defines all conditions applicable to the purchase of appliances, furniture and mattresses in the Eastern Townships. This sales policy applies to all in-store and online purchases. Our sales policy complies with Quebec's Consumer Protection Act and details our legal warranties, payment terms and financing options for Sherbrooke and surrounding areas.

General terms and conditions of sale at La Grange Liquidation

Prices and taxes


La Grange Liquidation displays all prices in Canadian dollars and do not include sales taxes (GST and QST). Applicable taxes will be added at the time of finalizing your purchase. We reserve the right to modify our prices at any time without notice.

Accepted payment methods


We accept the following methods of payment at our Sherbrooke store:
  1. Visa and Mastercard
  2. Interac debit card
  3. Bank transfer
  4. Cash (in store only)
  5. Flexiti financing

Terms of payment and delivery


All payments must be made in full prior to scheduling delivery. No payment will be accepted at the time of delivery.

Product availability


At La Grange Liquidation, we make every effort to maintain an accurate inventory. Some products can be taken out of the store immediately after purchase. Your salesperson will explain specific recommendations depending on the product chosen. Liquidation and open-box products are available in limited quantities.

Detailed invoice


You will receive a detailed invoice with your purchase, including product description, price, applicable warranties and serial number. Keep this invoice for all warranty claims.

Quebec legal warranty


In accordance with Quebec's Consumer Protection Act, all our products benefit from a mandatory legal warranty. La Grange Liquidation is bound only by this legal warranty for the equipment sold, to the exclusion of any other conventional or legal warranty provided by the store.

Manufacturer's warranty


The purchaser benefits from a conventional warranty offered by the manufacturer of the equipment sold. However, it is expressly understood that the seller is under no obligation to honor this manufacturer's warranty and is in no way bound by it. Manufacturer's warranty claims must be made directly with the manufacturer.

Verification on delivery (48 hours) IMPORTANT - Checking deadlines :


  • As-is« products: Check immediately on delivery. If the product is not in the same apparent condition as seen in the store, make any necessary reservations with the delivery personnel on site.
  • Bale new« products: You have 48 hours following delivery to report any reservations (apparent defect, cosmetic defect, non-conformity).

    Acceptance without reservation (or after 48 hours for new products) removes the right to invoke any apparent defect, cosmetic defect or lack of conformity. No manufacturer will accept a complaint after this period.

Optional extended warranty


We offer an extended warranty for added security. It can be registered within the first 11 months of purchase and can be renewed before the 5-year warranty expires. Consult our in-store advisors for more information.

Guarantee disability condition


The warranty will be rendered null and void if the product is not installed by a professional with a valid RBQ license and invoice. In the event of a service call, a fee of 150$ will be charged if the defect is found to be the result of improper installation or use. If the customer lives more than 20 km from our branch, an additional charge of 1$/km will apply.

General policy: Final sales


IMPORTANT: All sales are final. La Grange Liquidation does not grant refunds to customers after acceptance of delivery. Exceptions: Delivery problems or non-conformity. However, should there be a problem with the purchased good existing at the time of delivery, or should the good not conform to the description given on the site, the buyer may, as soon as possible after receipt, make a request for exchange or refund to the sales department via info@electroqc.ca.

If circumstances warrant


- In case of refund : The amount debited will be credited as soon as possible.
- In the event of an exchange: La Grange Liquidation will offer a product of the same nature and at an equal or higher cost price.

Conditions for returning items


If La Grange Liquidation accepts to take back a delivered item, a credit note will be issued to the customer equivalent to the price paid for the unit, including taxes.

Invoice cancellation procedure


If an invoice is cancelled for items not yet delivered, a credit note will be issued for the value of the deposit paid by the customer, up to the total amount of the invoice if it had been paid in full.

Exceptional refund with costs


In exceptional cases, a refund may be granted, but a restocking fee equivalent to 25 % of the invoice amount, including taxes, will be deducted from the refunded amount. In addition, the cost of returning the goods will be borne by the customer.

La Grange Liquidation or Meuble chez Pierre offers a delivery service within a 20 km radius of our store, covering Sherbrooke and the surrounding Eastern Townships.

Delivery zone


We deliver within a 20 km radius of Sherbrooke. We do not deliver outside Canada. For more details on areas covered, fees and delivery times, please visit our Delivery policy.

Collection of old household appliances


We can take out your old standard-size appliance on delivery. It is important that the unit is unplugged, emptied and ready for collection. Additional charges apply if we need to move your old appliances.

In-store pickup


For certain products, it will be possible to take them directly from the store after purchase. Your sales associate will explain the specific recommendations when you make your purchase at 5215 boul. Bourque, Sherbrooke, Canada, Quebec.

Right of withdrawal (online purchases)


For any contract concluded remotely (online, by telephone), you benefit from a 10-day withdrawal period, free of charge or penalty, in accordance with Quebec's Consumer Protection Act, with certain exceptions provided for by law.

In such cases, we reserve the right to correct any errors without prior notice. Furthermore, the colors of the products displayed may vary according to your monitor settings.

Policy changes


We may modify this sales policy at any time. Modifications will take effect as soon as they are published. The version in effect at the time of your purchase will apply to your transaction.

Quantity limits


We reserve the right to limit the quantities available for sale, particularly for liquidation products and special promotions.

Applicable law


This sales policy is governed by the laws of the province of Quebec, Canada. Any dispute arising from this policy shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the judicial district of Saint-François (Sherbrooke), Quebec.
